P/N 200000-APF
(Replacement part for P/N 200000-A (Rev. A)
The 200000A toilet utilizes a manually operated flush pump to flush wastes which have been deposited in the stainless steel, splash restricted toilet bowl, attached to the toilet cover. The flushing fluid is filtered by an internal filter system. Odor control of this liquid is obtained by periodic chemical treatment of the toilet contents. Odor control is further managed by attaching the toilet vent elbow to the locomotive source of vacuum. This attachment vents cab air through a 'sonic orifice' restricted port and reduces air pressure in the toilet tank to a slight negative pressure (5-10" of water). Configured in this way, the toilet does not vent into the cab, hence odors are prevented from escaping the toilet. The flush pump provides a high-pressure flush fluid output that swirls around the bowl several times before exiting at the bottom of the bowl. This method of flushing provides fast, effective, and efficient cleaning action.
When completely full of collected wastes, the toilet is serviced by opening the drain valve attached to an under the tank. This method allows the waste contents to drain into an appropriate sewer connection or another authorized dumping site or equivalent. This type of sanitation system represents the most reliable, easy to operate simple system, yet devised to prevent the direct discharge of waste materials into the environment. It requires no external power sources, contains no motors that need replacement, and does not need complex mechanisms that can become clogged or inoperative.
